The opening scene (0:00- 1:10) is very cool and something that me and Jacob would like to use in our music video. This is because of the location and editing. The locations of the abandoned house is very neat and we had an idea to film some of our footage at one. This setting is used throughout and yet doesn't get boring. This is due to the camera angles and editing.
The editing is very cool in the opening sequence. The distorted cuts and camera shakes are very cool and is defiantly something me and Jacob would like to do. The first cut at 00:02 is a perfect example of this. This type of editing tells the audience that it is this genre before they hear the song.This is because it is a convention of the genre, it would fit with our lyrics and because it looks cool.
In addition to this, the colour grading is something that I would like to use in some of our shots. The grey and greeny colour looks great and is something I would like to use. I tried to do this in one of our shots in the practice shoot.
