Flowers

From Research I have found that the use of flowers is a convention in the genre. For example, flowers are used in "The Negative One" by Slipknot and "I am Dust" by Gary Numan. The flowers are used for 2 different purposes in the videos though. Slipknot use the flowers as a sign of morning or witchcraft as they are around a dead deer where as in Numan's video it is a speeded up shot of the flowers blossuming.

The use of flowers is something I would like to put in my video. Me and Jacob had an idea of having flowers and smashing them up representing the destruction of innocence or freezing them and the smashing them up.

In addition to this, the use of flowers could also have intertextuality references to the TV show Hannibal on Sky Atlantic. This is because they are often used by Hannibal during the cooking of his victims and they are often presented with flowers.
